Simple Sweep

  1. Evaluation – is cleaning really going to solve the problem at hand? Is there any liability to cleaning? Provide quote and schedule time

  2. Execution – arrive with all cleaning supplies and mask/gloves

  3. Completion – client inspection and review of non-cleanable items

Cleanout

  1. Evaluation – is a cleanout really going to achieve the goal for the space?

  2. Execution – take each item out, group all similar things together and then proceed to categorize (will need staging spaces for this) according to Keep, Relocate, Donate, Sell, Trash, Shred, & Recycle

  3. Anything to keep goes back into the space, things to relocate go elsewhere, donations to goodwill, trash may need to be hauled, shred any sensitive documents, find appropriate recycling centers for each item (good places in Gelsons etc for ex. electronics, batteries, lightbulbs, bags)

  4. Completion – keep item all go back into the space more or less wherever they came from

Organizing

No plans to get rid of anything, may include moving things to other rooms. Goal is to be more efficient about storage and accessibility:

  1. Evaluation – is the space really ready to be organized or does it need to be cleaned/cleanedout first?

  2. Execution – take everything out and group all like items together. Once together, evaluate 1) should it stay in the current space and 2) best fit in said space.
